Another year completed

Well they had a little celebration for the end of the year with Isaac's preschool. It was at a nearby park and it was really nice. Teacher Bridget had lots of activities for the kids to rotate to and then all the kids were given a little certificate.

Each child had to color a square of cement. Isaac drew a rocket going to the sun with his whole name of course.

Then we had a nature walk and each child was able to paint a stained glass ornament.

This is Isaac with his friends Devyn and Diego. That was quite the trio of boys! Way to go Isaac - Mommy and Daddy are so pround of you!

Phoenix

Back in May Gary had a conference in Phoenix and so we decided to make it a family vacation as well. We were able to stay with Gary's brother, Mike and his family. We had a lot of fun and had lots of BBQ's, rockband night and of course time spent in the pool.
We did get to have an adult only kayaking trip down the Salt River which was a blast. Thanks Mike and Tara for setting that all up!

Gary and I took the kids to the zoo one day and had fun walking around. We even were able to do the train ride this trip.

Isaac's Sayings

So last night we rented Gnomeo and Juliet and enjoyed it as a family. There was one part where a gnome hides in a ladies bra and Isaac shouts out, "That's a great hiding place, in the mommy cups!"
Gary and I laughed so hard. He is so funny some times.

I know I need to do some catch up on the blog and I promise it will be coming soon. Just trying to get the house sold and start up a website (which is taking way more time than I would like to admit)

Happy Birthday Sarah!!!

My Birthday Girl in the cutest outfit from Laurie! This is what her hair looks like right after I do it!

I can't believe my baby girl is now 2. She has grown so much this past year and is so much fun. She has a very strong personality which will be great for her one day - little trying for me right now. We are finally sleeping through the night which makes her so much happier during the day. She absolutely LOVES her brother. She follows him all around the house and if Isaac is doing something she wants to do it to. When asked, "What is your name?" Her response - I Kick (for Isaac). She loves to dance, color (still undecided on right or left hand), must feed herself in a chair, loves Mickey Mouse ( Mic Mou) and loves to play outside. She loves books and is really good at puzzles. I made her a Mickey Mouse cake and it was fun watching her eat the whole thing with a fork - and she did really well! We love you baby girl!

Easter Weekend

We were so busy last weekend and sometimes it is fun to have lot of things to do. We started the week off with coloring Easter eggs. We decided to try something new and actually color the eggs with crayons. It was a lot of fun and way less messy. The trick is to do it when the eggs are nice and hot right out of the water. Isaac got a kick out of coloring them. He was so upset the next morning when Gary went to eat one of them. So funny.

On Saturday morning they had a fun event called Kids Fishin. It costs $7.00 and they get a T-shirt, fishing pole, free bait and 30 minutes to fish in a pond stocked with fish. We did this last year and Isaac was able to catch his 1st fish, but this year we had better luck - no fish for us! Isaac had a great time and I know Gary did too.

After fishing we raced over to an Easter egg hunt. There were several hunts around town and of course they are all at the same time. Luckily it hadn't started yet and the kids had fun. They each gathered several eggs and enjoyed frosting cupcakes and cotton candy. As if there wasn't enough sugar inside the eggs.

That afternoon our friends drove up from Prosser and we enjoyed a nice lunch with them. Isaac and Sarah were able to play with Sydney, Ethan and Isabella and we all enjoyed the sunshine.

That evening (I told you there was lots planned) we had our neighbor come and watch the kids so Gary and I could enjoy a nice evening out. Sadly when we came home we heard that Isaac accidentally threw a frisbee into the window and broke it. It even hit the screen first so he had to have hit the window just right! Thankfully no one was hurt and windows can be replaced!

Easter morning was really fun since the Easter bunny left some great treats. Gary made us a wonderful breakfast. The Easter bunny was figure friendly this year and had fun toys instead of mainly candy. I really liked this idea and will probably keep doing that. Of course Sarah attacked the couple pieces of candy that were in her basket so they were placed out of reach soon after that.
