We were so busy last weekend and sometimes it is fun to have lot of things to do. We started the week off with coloring Easter eggs. We decided to try something new and actually color the eggs with crayons. It was a lot of fun and way less messy. The trick is to do it when the eggs are nice and hot right out of the water. Isaac got a kick out of coloring them. He was so upset the next morning when Gary went to eat one of them. So funny.
On Saturday morning they had a fun event called Kids Fishin. It costs $7.00 and they get a T-shirt, fishing pole, free bait and 30 minutes to fish in a pond stocked with fish. We did this last year and Isaac was able to catch his 1st fish, but this year we had better luck - no fish for us! Isaac had a great time and I know Gary did too.
After fishing we raced over to an Easter egg hunt. There were several hunts around town and of course they are all at the same time. Luckily it hadn't started yet and the kids had fun. They each gathered several eggs and enjoyed frosting cupcakes and cotton candy. As if there wasn't enough sugar inside the eggs.
That afternoon our friends drove up from Prosser and we enjoyed a nice lunch with them. Isaac and Sarah were able to play with Sydney, Ethan and Isabella and we all enjoyed the sunshine.
That evening (I told you there was lots planned) we had our neighbor come and watch the kids so Gary and I could enjoy a nice evening out. Sadly when we came home we heard that Isaac accidentally threw a frisbee into the window and broke it. It even hit the screen first so he had to have hit the window just right! Thankfully no one was hurt and windows can be replaced!
Easter morning was really fun since the Easter bunny left some great treats. Gary made us a wonderful breakfast. The Easter bunny was figure friendly this year and had fun toys instead of mainly candy. I really liked this idea and will probably keep doing that. Of course Sarah attacked the couple pieces of candy that were in her basket so they were placed out of reach soon after that.

The kids look so cute in their Easter outfits. Sounds like a busy day, but lots of fun. I think the Easter bunny is going to have to go lighter on the candy here next year too. I know it took a toll on my figure eating all the leftovers. Sorry about the broken window. Isaac must have quite the arm. Maybe he'll be a big league pitcher some day.
