Tomatoes Galore!

So after planting over 30 plants we have now come to - what do you do with all of those tomatoes. They started turning red just a few at a time and I was able to keep up with them and then the weather cooled down a bit and they all are ripening at the same time. This was a weeks worth of tomatoes - yes only one week. My sink was full and it took me about 4 hours to take care of all of them. I made 2 batches of salsa, 12 (1gallon) bags full of spaghetti sauce, and about 6 bags of cut tomatoes. I am really done with tomatoes right now and there will be a couple more bags to pick by this weekend. I am very grateful our garden has done so well, but I won't plant that many again. Right now our freezer is full of tomatoes and I know it will be nice in the winter.

Atleast you will get to have some yummy B.L.T's. I love fresh tomatoes.

That is a lot of tomatoes! I am going to have the same problem with spaghetti squash...not only do I have a lot, they are huge!

I do not envy you... I think we are finally done with ours. Hope the salsa turned out good. Take a look at the crazy zucchini on my blog for a laugh.
