Happy 5th Birthday Sarah!

This cute little girl has grown up so quickly.  It is hard to believe she is already 5 yrs old.  For her birthday we went and had her ears pierced.  After persuading her to pick pink earrings she was ready to go.  She was super brave and she didn't even cry.  Gary had a great idea of giving her a candy to suck on - worked great!  She loves her new ears.  Sarah's birthday fell on Mother's day this year so had a fun celebration together.

She asked for a Frozen cake and I knew it would have been a challenge so I opted for the store bought cake this year.  They did an amazing job creating an Elsa cake.

She was spoiled by everyone with nice presents and lots of new clothes.  We had a nice dinner with my family all coming up to celebrate.
Sarah is such a fun, outgoing, and determined sweet girl.  She definitely keeps me on my toes.  She is super excited for Kindergarten next year.  She is 53 lbs. and 46" tall.  She knows her alphabet and can count to 100.  She loves playing with friends and recently learned to ride a bike without training wheels.  We love you, Bear!

Double Trouble

These 2 little girls got a hold of my camera and had a fun time taking selfies!  These are couple of the funny ones.  I have about 10 of just the floor and feet.

Catching up!

 End of 1st Grade
Beginning of 1st Grade
This is Isaac's year end photo from school.  I think it is funny how they do pictures at the start of the year and then again towards the end of the year.  It turned out pretty cute at least.  Fun to see the difference from the start to the end!  He has teeth in this one.

Sarah's preschool class went on a field trip to the fire station so Katie and I went too!  Sarah was not so sure about the fireman in all the gear.  She definitely does not like people in costumes!  Her class with Ms. Sheralyn.  She loved her preschool class.
We headed to the new Aquarium to check it out.  It has taken them forever to build this building and transition the animals from one location to the other.  Unfortunately when we went half of the exhibits are still empty.  So we will go back later in the summer to see the new exhibits.  The kids thought it was great though.

The under water walkway was definitely the highlight of the aquarium.  It was fun to have sharks swim right over you.
Isaac kept asking me to take his picture with the sharks.  If you look closely it is right over his head.  Although this selfie of us turned out really well with the turtle swimming over us.  (didn't plan that one)

One of the largest steam engines make its way through Salt Lake and Ogden so we decided to go and check it out.  This train was called the Big Boy and was used in the 1940's and 50's.  It was retired in 1962 and has been in a museum in California.  Union Pacific has decided  that the 600-ton steam engine would undergo a five-year restoration.  The kids had a great time looking at the steam engine.

Of course we had to go and explore all the other old trains as well.  My grandfather used to work for Rio Grande so it is always fun seeing their trains.  Isaac is so cute because he remembers me telling him that story and he asked me to take his picture.  My Grandpap would be happy to see this picture!
They also had a bunch of trains the kids could climb on.

Sarah had the cutest Mother's Day program and the kids sang to us.  I will upload a video of one of the songs soon!  Sarah and 2 of her friends, Shaylee and Charlie.

Easter

This Easter was very laid back and relaxed.  We stayed at home the whole day and didn't have to travel anywhere.  It was very nice.  The kids woke up to Easter eggs all over the front room.  It was fun to watch Katie "find" her unhidden eggs.  The older 2 had to actually look for theirs.

It was kind of fun watching Isaac try to find his eggs.  That bunny sure found some good hiding places, especially when Sarah found the last 2 a few days later.

They all got spoiled with goodies in their baskets this year.  The Easter bunny left some new Disney Infinity characters which they had fun playing later on.  Katie loved her chocolate eggs the best!
