Disney Trip Oct. 2013

Well it was time for another vacation so we decided to head to Disneyland, again!  I absolutely love going to Disneyland in October.  The weather is usually perfect, which it was this time, and I enjoy how they decorate it for Halloween.  This time we were even lucky enough to go with my brother and his family.
Here we are on Dumbo.  This is always one of the favorite rides for the kids.  Isaac was tall enough to go by himself.  He thought that was very cool.

Waiting for Peter Pan - I love his toothless grin.

My monkeys on the train.  Katie liked to be able to sit all by herself.

 Finding Nemo
Sarah's first time on Star Tours.  She was a little scared at first but Isaac made sure she was okay.  Gary and Isaac got very wet on their ride down Splash Mountain.

Waiting in line for Pirates of the Carribean.  Fun to ride with the cousins.

Isaac is a crazy driver on Autopia, but Katie thought it was hilarious.
The Halloween Jamboree outside at Big Thunder Ranch.  They have a petting zoo, amazing pumpkins, dancing with the characters, coloring, games and music.  I could have stayed at this part of Disneyland for most of the day.  Just so peaceful and relaxing.

And you can't go to Disneyland without going on It's A Small World.

On Saturday we had a slow day and went to the Santa Ana Zoo.  It was nice to see what animals they had.  The kids enjoyed all the monkeys.  Then we had a nice picnic in the park.

That afternoon we swam at the hotel and then finished the evening walking around Downtown Disney.  Those pictures are on my phone so that will have to be added later.
This was Luigi's tire ride in Radiator Springs.  Isaac, Sarah and mom waited in line for the Cars ride.  Not to bad of a wait with only 1 hour in line.

 Bumper bug cars.

Sarah and Isaac on the tire swing.

Walking out of Disneyland on our last night.  We had a fun vacation!

Latest Family Pics

So Gary's parents have family photos once a year which is really nice. So here is the latest.  I am not a fan of our immediate family's photos this year.  It was so hot outside (over 100) and we had to wait FOREVER for the photographer so by the time he was ready my kids were done!  Sadly it looks like Katie only has one leg.

Costume Pics

Here are just some pics in her costume.  They had to wear their hair a certain way as well as make-up.  This was a crazy place for dance that we won't be going back to.  The concert lasted 4 HOURS.  I left with Sarah after her 2nd dance 2.5 hours in.  She did a great job though.

Sarah's recital

Here is a short clip of the end of her dance.  She did such a great job.  She is so funny though because she REFUSED to show us her dance.  I figured I was going to just watch her stand on the stage the whole time, but nope, she surprised me.  She had a great time and I am glad she is a dancer.  F.Y.I. -  She is the farthest one on the left.

Poor Katie

My poor baby walked onto my parents hot deck without her shoes on and severely burned her hands and her feet.  Everyone has asked me what kind of surface it is so it is a type of acrylic polymer.  We think she put her hands down once she realized her feet were hurting.  Sadly mommy wasn't there but by the time I got to her she was miserable and in so much pain.  We rushed her to Gary's office and unfortunately there was nothing he could do.  He was able to get her some pain medicine though which helped us through that night.  Her blisters were about 1 inch thick off the bottom of her feet and each toe had their own blister.  This chair was a life saver the first few days.
Here is the pictures after 1 week. It was kind of weird how one hand and one foot was worse than the other one.

 This is 1.5 weeks out:
We have one brave little girl!!!  She is quite the "fighter"
 Three weeks June 18th:

 July 3rd

Well today is July 7th and her hands and left foot look great.  Her right foot finally almost healed now.  She is very careful being barefoot and does not like to be outside without shoes on.  I am so proud of her being so brave.
