Easter Parties

So I decided to host an Easter Party for some of the families in our neighborhood.  We ended up having 8 families come with 22 kids. It was a little crazy at first but once we started the activities we had a blast.  I didn't take many pictures but wished I had.  So we had an Easter craft to start off with, followed by pizza and treats, then we headed outside for an egg hunt.  I found this cute idea to stuff the eggs with puzzle pieces and then the kids had to put the puzzle together to see if they found all the eggs.  Worked great and the kids loved it.  I realized we don't have many hiding spots in our backyard just yet.

Putting the puzzles together.  Each family had their own color of egg so they had to work together.

After the puzzles we decorated eggs with shaving cream and food coloring.  Very messy but super cool.  Really wish I had pics of that but trying to have 20 kids color eggs at the same time was a little overwhelming for me.  They loved it though.  Then we decorated cupcakes and played outside.  It was so much fun and I think I just found my new tradition.
Here are the Easter baskets before the kids attacked them.  And yes, Mr. Isaac snuck downstairs and went through the baskets before we all woke up.  He was so excited to see what he received.
The Easter bunny left a trail of eggs from the mantle where the baskets had been to the table full of goodies.

Isaac got a new baseball mitt and balls to practice with.  Sarah got some cute new sunglasses and bubbles and we can't leave out the fact they also got lots of good candy!
Trying to get a picture of them holding their baskets.  Miss Katie just wanted to play with hers.

All dressed up.  I found a darling dress for Katie that matched Sarah's from last year.
Isaac wanted to take our pictures.

My 3 beautiful kids!
That afternoon we headed down to SLC to G & G Oaks' house for a birthday/Easter party.  The kids loved having another egg hunt.

This was probably the cutest thing I have seen in awhile. Grandpa helped Katie collect eggs.  It was so cute to see him get down on the grass with her and just have fun.  Katie loved picking up the eggs and putting them in her bag.  These are the priceless pics!

After the egg hunt we had cake to celebrate the March birthdays

Katie had fun playing on the wiggle cars.
Uncle Steve was so cute and played with Sarah for awhile.  She started to get the hang of it just in time to go.  We had a really nice Easter and loved the sunny warm weather!

Winter Recap

So I have been terrible keeping this updated, sorry for those who do look at it.  Blogger has FINALLY updated the way you load photos so I might be a little better now.  It used to take FOREVER to upload.  These are just some pics of the kids the past couple of months.   Katie loves to chew on everythings, especially if it is in Isaac's room.  She has eaten the top of his rocket.
I love this picture of my girls.
At the end of January we had a couple of really big storms that brought a lot of snow and ice.  The kids loved playing in the snow.  They decided to build a snowman and Sarah decided they needed a whole bag of carrots for the snowman.  Needless to say I found a couple the other day cleaning out my window wells.

They like to make silly faces - I think they learned this from Aunt Stephanie!

Katie is just growing up so fast.  She is really good at walking all by herself now.  She started about 2 weeks after her birthday.  She is such a smiley little girl.  Her favorite word is "Hooray" and she puts her hands in the air.  She likes to get into my cupboards and empty them.  Isaac and Sarah got the trains out and have played really well together.  Isaac used to play with them all the time.  He has had to ask me their names when he could tell them all apart.  Funny how we forget things as we grow.

Katie turns 1!

My baby girl turned ONE!  It is amazing how fast this past year has gone by.  She has been so much fun and is such a happy baby.  We had a nice day and had G & G Oaks and G&G Love over for dinner and dessert.  Katie was being such a ham for the camera and was giving the biggest smiles.

I decided to make her a ladybug cake.  I had a ton of fun decorating it and it turned out pretty cute.

Of course you can't have a birthday without balloons.

Trying to figure out what to do with her cake.  She kept touching it but since the frosting had hardened she didn't want to have anything to do with it.  She took one tiny taste and then I cut it in half to see if she would eat the cake part but she just played with it instead.
 My cute family!

This sweet girl weighed in at 21 lbs and 5 oz and was 29.5 inches long.  She is almost walking on her own.  She loves her big brother and sister.  We Love you Katie Bug!
