4th of July Weekend

Well since our plans to head to Utah were nixed we decided to make the most of it here in Yakima. On Friday we went to a Yakima Bears baseball game.

We had a great time and Sarah even made it on the jumbo screen dancing. It was really cold and we all snuggled up under the blanket! I think Isaac's favorite part was eating the hot dogs at the ball game. Sarah loved when the crowd all started singing Take Me Out to the Ball Game. After the song ended she said, "Again". I should teach her that one, since Isaac knew it at her age.

On Saturday we did some yard work and then let the kids play in the water for awhile. They absolutely loved it. I didn't want to have to go and get Sarah changed so we just let her have fun naked (well with a diaper). The kids played really well together and Sarah kept trying to get Isaac to sit down in the water.

On Sunday evening we went to a friends house for a BBQ. Everything was delicious and Sarah really enjoyed her first try at Smore's. She ate the whole thing without any help! She was an absolute mess when she was done but that's what the sprinklers were for.

On the 4th we had a nice relaxing morning and took the kids to a park to play.

I tried to get a couple pictures of the kids together and this is about as much as Sarah would co-operate! After lunch some friends invited us to their in-laws home for a swimming party and a BBQ. The pool was amazing. They had a huge rock slide (which was a little on the scary side for me) and a fun cliff for the kids to jump off of. Isaac has been a little fish since his 2 sessions of swim lessons and he had no fear of the slide or the cliff. Sarah was a little more reserved, which was just fine for me. The BBQ was great and it was so fun hanging out with a bunch of friends for the holiday. After dinner we decided to head home, relax and put the kids to bed early. We didn't end up going to the fairgrounds to watch the fireworks, but we were able to stand out on our deck and see the fireworks around the valley. It was such a nice and fun day!

Little Miss Trouble

Sarah has bee5n such a little stinker lately and a7ll the typos are becusea0 0.s02he2 is insist]ing 6on sitting at the computer with me. Anyways, I just caught her putting chalk in the fan (thankfully it was not turned on at this moment). So I told her to get the chalk back out of the fan. She was doing pretty well and managed to get 3 pieces out so I walked away for a couple seconds while she worked on the last 2 pieces and all of a sudden I heard her coloring with the chalk on the wall. Well last night she was yelled at and put in timeout for putting crackers in the fan and a couple days ago it was crayons. Yesterday while I was helping Isaac in the bathroom I came back to the living room to find her like this.

Let me remind you everything was in its correct place when I left her. And she is not wearing a shirt because she REFUSED to put in on after lunch (I took it off for spaghetti).

She is such and girl and if she gets yelled at she instantly cries and let me tell you those tears are big crocodile tears.

She is not always a trouble maker and since we have had lots of outside time I took a couple pictures of Sarah and Isaac playing so well together.

She has been so much fun, but she is keeping me busy!

Memorial Day

Over Memorial Day we took a quick trip down to SLC to look at some work opportunities for Gary and got to enjoy some family time as well. Isaac was able to go to a gymnastics class with Miles and he loved it! Sarah wanted to go to but she will have to wait till next time. Poor Sarah dislocated her radial head while playing with Grandpa. I knew something was wrong with her arm when she wouldn't use it. Finally my cousin told us about Nursemaids elbow and sure enough that was the problem. Luckily Gary was able to put in back in place and she was just fine the next morning!
We also made a nice visit to see my Grandma for her 89th birthday!

Another year completed

Well they had a little celebration for the end of the year with Isaac's preschool. It was at a nearby park and it was really nice. Teacher Bridget had lots of activities for the kids to rotate to and then all the kids were given a little certificate.

Each child had to color a square of cement. Isaac drew a rocket going to the sun with his whole name of course.

Then we had a nature walk and each child was able to paint a stained glass ornament.

This is Isaac with his friends Devyn and Diego. That was quite the trio of boys! Way to go Isaac - Mommy and Daddy are so pround of you!

Phoenix

Back in May Gary had a conference in Phoenix and so we decided to make it a family vacation as well. We were able to stay with Gary's brother, Mike and his family. We had a lot of fun and had lots of BBQ's, rockband night and of course time spent in the pool.
We did get to have an adult only kayaking trip down the Salt River which was a blast. Thanks Mike and Tara for setting that all up!

Gary and I took the kids to the zoo one day and had fun walking around. We even were able to do the train ride this trip.

Isaac's Sayings

So last night we rented Gnomeo and Juliet and enjoyed it as a family. There was one part where a gnome hides in a ladies bra and Isaac shouts out, "That's a great hiding place, in the mommy cups!"
Gary and I laughed so hard. He is so funny some times.

I know I need to do some catch up on the blog and I promise it will be coming soon. Just trying to get the house sold and start up a website (which is taking way more time than I would like to admit)
