Spring time

We had a really nice Easter and the weather was perfect. We spent most of the day going from family to family, but that is what it is all about. Isaac loved the Easter egg hunt and I was surprised at how well he did.

Today is Gary's birthday so we are going to go out for dinner. I am a bad wife and didn't get him anything, but that is okay because yesterday he went out and bought himself a new rifle. I finally caved in and told him he could purchase one. He is really excited about it and can't wait to go target shooting. Happy Birthday Gary!!!

Isaac's New Word

So we were throwing the ball the other night and all of a sudden Isaac shouts out the word 'Nice' It was so funny and since we were laughing at it he kept doing it. Here is a short video.

Finally Healthy

So Isaac has been fighting a stomach virus for over 3 weeks and I think we are finally rid of it. This past week was the worst and he also passed it on to me. So we pretty much stayed on the couch for several days and we have been good since Sunday. He is back to his happy little self and getting into everything again.

What a big boy

So Isaac is fascinated with the vacuums and after we vacuum he has to take his turn. He knows how to turn them off and on and so after 30 minutes of his turn the plug gets pulled for my sanity. He does a pretty good job of pushing it around the hard wood floors, but he still get stuck on the carpet and that just makes him angry. His little personality is so strong and he wants to do everything himself. His new thing is to feed himself with the spoon. That makes such a mess, but he is so proud of himself. Here are a couple pics.

Fun time

So I decided to make some banana bread but of course I needed a little helper. Isaac sat on the counter and helped me put the ingredients in the mixing bowl. When it was time to put in the bananas I broke it in half and gave them to Isaac. He put the first one in just great and watched the mixer go around. When I gave him the 2nd one he started to eat it instead. So needless to say we were a half a banana short, but it still tasted great.

I've Been Tagged...

So I am supposed to think of 10 things to tell you about myself, well here we go.
1. I love the fall time. The weather is perfect for evening walks with all the colorful leaves.
2. I am a big sports fan. Tennis is my favorite.
3. I love being a mom and it is so much fun being at home with him.
4. Cleaning is not my specialty. Gary teases me all the time that he cleans more than I do. I am trying to do better.
5. I have played the piano since I was 5, but I can't play in front of people - I get too nervous.
6. I enjoy camping - regardless what Gary says. The only bad thing is that it usually takes longer to get everything together than it does to camp.
7. My dream is to go to a major tennis event - French Open, Wimbledon or US Open.
8. I miss living in Iowa. Only because we had such great friends there, but most of them have moved as well so it wouldn't be the same. I think we need to have a reunion in a couple of years where we all get back together.
9. I have only had 2 speeding tickets. Once when I was 16 and one last year on my way to work.
10. I can't wait to own a home and be able to decorate it the way I want. I would love to decorate a cute little boy's room for Isaac. I also want to unpack all of the boxes from moving back from Iowa.
